Welcome to Kim

Welcome to Kim Phan, who recently joined Salsa as our new Finance Administrator.

Salsa Digital 12 November 2019

Salsarian since: 10 September 2019

Welcome Kim

We’d like to welcome Kim Phan to Salsa as our new Finance Administrator. Kim will be looking after the financial and administration side of the business including balancing the books, generating and paying invoices, financial reporting and all things accounting. Kim works part time in the Melbourne Salsa office.

About Kim

Kim holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from Monash University. After completing her degree she worked at Toyota for four years, first as an accountant before moving up to an internal auditor position. She also worked as an auditor at Ansett Airlines and at BHP as a business analyst in the IT department.

In 2001, Kim's husband was transferred to Thailand and they lived there for 15 years. During that time, Kim had twins and she focused on bringing up her children, while also launching and running her own business — a children’s play centre.

Why Salsa?

Kim actually heard that Salsa was looking for a Finance Administrator through one of our directors, Paul. Kim had been out of the workforce for 15 years and was looking to get back into accounting, but in a part-time capacity so she could still be available for her kids. “I love the convenience of the location, and Salsa’s flexibility in terms of work hours. Everyone’s really friendly and there’s a good attitude towards family. I like the vibe in the office too!”

Kim now hopes to build her accounting skills back up. “It’s a great position to get into and there’s the scope of growth to expand more into management accounting in the future.”

Kim is married and lives locally with her husband and twins. View Kim’s Salsa profile
